The laboratory has been equipped by at least 90% through competitive European programmes. Indicatively, the laboratory holds the following instruments and facilities:

·         2 research stereoscopes with cold lighting

·         seed counter

·         freezer, refrigerator

·         2 hand-held GPS receivers, 2 altimeters, caliper, 3 hand-held meteorological stations (Kestrel), aspectmeter, luxmeter etc.

·         map collection (in dedicated cabinet) with printed materials

·         6 large entomological cabinets housing the insect collection

·         5 personal PCs and peripheral printing and data storage facilities
